Tue, 18 Mar 2008 12:33:08 -0700 Rea White, of SceneDaily.com, reports Hall of Fame Racing officials announced Tuesday, March 18, that Steve Boyer will be the new crew chief for driver J.J. Yeley and the No. 96 car, starting with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway Sunday, March 30. Boyer has worked with HOFR in the engineering department since December 2007 and will be taking over for former crew chief Brandon Thomas. Boyer was previously a crew chief for Sterling Marlin at Chip Ganassi Racing for the last six races of the 2004 season and the 2005 season. He was the crew chief for Ganassi driver Scott Lagasse Jr. in the ARCA Series.
