Red Bull Racing crew chief Jimmy Elledge was fined $25,000 for a piece of weight that fell off the No. 83 car of driver Reed Sorenson during practice last weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, according to SceneDaily.com.

Red Bull Racing announced Tuesday, June 1, that the team is swapping crew chiefs and personnel between the Nos. 82 and 83 cars. Driver Scott Speed is now paired with crew chief Ryan Pemberton, and driver Casey Mears is now paired with crew chief Jimmy Elledge.

SceneDaily.com reports Chip Ganassi Racing officials announced Wednesday, April 16, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series crew chiefs Donnie Wingo and Jimmy Elledge will switch roles, with Wingo taking over duties as crew chief for Reed Sorenson in the No. 41 car and Elledge taking over duties as crew chief for Juan Pablo Montoya and the No. 42 car. Team owner Chip Ganassi said he feels the changes can move the team to the next level. Both crew chiefs will call their first race with their new drivers at Talladega Superspeedway April 27.
