Tue, 25 Oct 2011 14:31:53 -0700 Michael Waltrip Racing car Nos. 00, 47 and 56 all had their crew chiefs suspended by NASCAR Tuesday, Oct. 25, due to rule infractions during the Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway. Rodney Childers (No. 00), Frank Kerr (No. 47) and Chad Johnston (No. 56) were each fined $50,000 and have been suspended for the next four races.

Barker and Kerr were fined $25,000 each for parts that were not submitted for prior approval and $50,000 each for unapproved ballast weight mounting, according to multiple team sources. Tryson and Childers were fined $25,000 each for parts that were not submitted for prior approval.

Childers was previously the crew chief for GEM driver Elliott Sadler.
