Wood Brothers Racing driver Trevor Bayne will race in at least 17 Sprint Cup events this year, according to The Associated Press. He will drive the first five races, beginning with the Daytona 500, then make selected appearances for the rest of the season. Bayne will work with crew chief Donnie Wingo.

Roush Fenway Racing crew chief Donnie Wingo is being replaced by Drew Blickensderfer as driver David Ragan's new crew chief in the Sprint Cup Series, according to SceneDaily.com's Bob Pockrass. The change will take effect this weekend in the Cup race at Dover International Speedway.

Roush Fenway Racing crew chief Donnie Wingo, who served as driver Jamie McMurray's crew chief in 2009, has been named the crew chief for driver David Ragan and the No. 6 UPS team for the 2010 Sprint Cup season.

SceneDaily.com reports Roush Fenway Racing crew chief Donnie Wingo, the crew chief for driver Jamie McMurray, was named the Wypall Wipers Crew Chief of the race for the Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday, Nov. 1.

David Newton, of ESPN.com, reports crew chief Donnie Wingo will join Roush Fenway Racing and driver Jamie McMurray for the 2009 season. Wingo and McMurray worked together at Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates in 2006. Wingo will be replacing crew chief Larry Carter.

NASCAR.com reports Donnie Wingo, the crew chief of Chip Ganassi Racing driver Reed Sorenson's No. 41 car, was fined for a violation committed during the Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway Sunday, Aug. 17. The No. 41 car was found to be in violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-W (improperly attached weight) of the 2008 NASCAR rule book. Wingo was fined $25,000 for the infraction.

SceneDaily.com reports Chip Ganassi Racing officials announced Wednesday, April 16, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series crew chiefs Donnie Wingo and Jimmy Elledge will switch roles, with Wingo taking over duties as crew chief for Reed Sorenson in the No. 41 car and Elledge taking over duties as crew chief for Juan Pablo Montoya and the No. 42 car. Team owner Chip Ganassi said he feels the changes can move the team to the next level. Both crew chiefs will call their first race with their new drivers at Talladega Superspeedway April 27.
