Stewart-Haas Racing announced that crew chief Tony Gibson, the crew chief for driver Ryan Newman, will move to work with driver Danica Patrick in the No. 10 Chevrolet for the final two Sprint Cup races of the season. Matt Borland, the vice president of competition, will become Newman's crew chief in the No. 39 Chevy starting next weekend at Martinsville.

Stewart-Haas Racing announced Wednesday, Oct. 3, that Quicken Loans has been added as a sponsor for driver Ryan Newman for 18 races next season in the Sprint Cup Series. The team is also working on a sponsorship deal Bass Pro Shops to replace some of the 22 races left open for driver Tony Stewart after Office Depot leaves this season. Newman could also have a new crew chief next year, with crew chief Tony Gibson and the No. 39 crew moving to help out with driver Danica Patrick in her first full-time ride in the Cup Series.

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Danica Patrick is scheduled to work with crew chief Tony Gibson and the rest of driver Ryan Newman's pit crew as she moves to a full-time Sprint Cup ride next season. "She needs a team that is really solid," Gibson said. "We've been together 11 years. We've been through Michael Waltrip, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Mark Martin, Regan Smith and Aric Almirola. No matter what, this team sticks together and we're a solid group of guys." Patrick's best finish in the Cup Series this year was 25th at Chicagoland.

SceneDaily.com reports Stewart-Haas Racing crew chief Tony Gibson, the crew chief for driver Ryan Newman, was named the Wypall Wipers Crew Chief of the race for the Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway Saturday, May 2.
