Wed, 18 Nov 2009 10:18:54 -0800 Lee Spencer, of FOXSports.com, reports Roush Fenway Racing driver Jamie McMurray signed with Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing Wednesday, Nov. 18, to drive the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet for the 2010 Sprint Cup season. The deal is for one year with options, according to sources. Crew chief Kevin Manion will serve as McMurray's crew chief next season. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Tue, 10 Nov 2009 18:16:34 -0800 Bob Pockrass, of SceneDaily.com, reports Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. and co-owner Teresa Earnhardt were penalized 50 Sprint Cup points for Truex's car being too low during a post-race inspection at Texas Motor Speedway Sunday, Nov. 8. Crew chief Kevin Manion was fined $50,000. The loss of points drops Truex from 24th place to 26th. Manion will remain on probation through Dec. 31.

He is currently 24th in the Cup standings this year. Crew chief Kevin Manion was fined $25,000 and place on probation until Dec. 31. Owner Teresa Earnhardt was penalized 25 points in the Sprint Cup Series owner standings.
