Lee Spencer, of FOXSports.com, reports Roush Fenway Racing driver Jamie McMurray signed with Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing Wednesday, Nov. 18, to drive the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet for the 2010 Sprint Cup season. The deal is for one year with options, according to sources. Crew chief Kevin Manion will serve as McMurray's crew chief next season. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bob Pockrass, of SceneDaily.com, reports Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. and co-owner Teresa Earnhardt were penalized 50 Sprint Cup points for Truex's car being too low during a post-race inspection at Texas Motor Speedway Sunday, Nov. 8. Crew chief Kevin Manion was fined $50,000. The loss of points drops Truex from 24th place to 26th. Manion will remain on probation through Dec. 31.

The Associated Press reports Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. was docked 25 points Tuesday, July 14, in the Sprint Cup Series standings because his right rear quarter panel was found to be too high following a post-race inspection at Chicagoland Speedway Saturday, July 11. He is currently 24th in the Cup standings this year. Crew chief Kevin Manion was fined $25,000 and place on probation until Dec. 31. Owner Teresa Earnhardt was penalized 25 points in the Sprint Cup Series owner standings.

SceneDaily.com reports Dale Earnhardt Inc. crew chief Kevin Manion, who is the crew chief for driver Martin Truex Jr., will return this weekend after serving a six-week suspension for a rule infraction.

The Associated Press reports Dale Earnhardt Inc. driver Martin Truex Jr. was penalized 150 points for bringing an illegal car to Daytona International Speedway. Crew chief Kevin Manion and car chief Gary Putnam were suspended from the next six races and placed on probation until Dec. 31, 2008. Manion was also fined $100,000.
