Richard Petty | Drew Blickensderfer to work with Marcos Ambrose

Richard Petty Motorsports announced Tuesday, Oct. 30, that crew chief Drew Blickensderfer will serve as the crew chief for Marcos Ambrose. Blickensderfer spent the Sprint Cup season working with Richard Childress Racing driver Jeff Burton. Blickensderfer will be replacing crew chief Mike Ford, who will no longer be with the organization.

Richard Petty | Swapping crew chiefs

Richard Petty Motorsports has decided to swap the crew chiefs for drivers Aric Almirola and Marcos Ambrose in the Sprint Cup Series after both drivers failed to make the Chase. Mike Ford will move to Ambrose's No. 9 team while crew chief Todd Parrott will work with Almirola for the remainder of the season. Ambrose sits 15th in the standings while Almirola is 22nd going into the final 10 races. Neither driver is under contract for the 2013 season.

Richard Petty Motorsports announced that former Joe Gibbs Racing crew chief Mike Ford will join the team as the new crew chief for driver Aric Almirola. Ford will replace Greg Erwin with the No. 43 car starting with the race this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.

Joe Gibbs Racing let go of crew chief Mike Ford, the crew chief for driver Denny Hamlin, Tuesday, Dec. 6. Former Stewart-Haas Racing crew chief Darian Grubb is expected to be at the top of the list to replace Ford.

Joe Gibbs Racing | Crew chiefs fined

NASCAR has fined three Joe Gibbs Racing crew chiefs $50,000 each for bringing unapproved oil pans to the Sprint Cup race last weekend. Mike Ford, Dave Rogers and Greg Zipadelli were also put on probation for the rest of the year.

SceneDaily.com reports Joe Gibbs Racing crew chief Mike Ford, the crew chief for driver Denny Hamlin and the No. 11 Toyota, was named the Wypall Wipers Crew Chief of the Race for the Sprint Cup Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway Monday, Aug. 3.
