Driver Landon Cassill has left the organization. Crew chief Pat Tryson, who worked with Reutimann at Michael Waltrip Racing, is expected to work as the crew chief. Driver Travis Kvapil will continue in the team's No. 93 car with crew chief Todd Anderson.

Barker and Kerr were fined $25,000 each for parts that were not submitted for prior approval and $50,000 each for unapproved ballast weight mounting, according to multiple team sources. Tryson and Childers were fined $25,000 each for parts that were not submitted for prior approval.
Thu, 21 Jan 2010 10:01:22 -0800 Bob Pockrass, of SceneDaily.com, reports Michael Waltrip Racing driver Michael Waltrip announced Wednesday, Jan. 20, that he will only race in the Budweiser Shootout and Daytona 500 during the 2010 Sprint Cup season. "I'm comfortable with that," Waltrip said. "I talked to Billy Ballew about running some (Camping World) Truck (Series) races. I definitely am going to run a couple of those. When I think about going to Daytona, I get excited because I know I know how to win that race. When I think about (the next Cup races at) California and (Las) Vegas, I just haven't performed at a level that makes me say, 'I'm going to go out there and (win).'" Driver Martin Truex Jr. will replace Waltrip as the full-time driver with Pat Tryson serving as the crew chief. Truex will be driving the No. 56 car this season, while Waltrip will drive the No. 51 car.

The team has asked Tryson to only visit the race shop during the weekly competition meeting because he is leaving for Michael Waltrip Racing at the end of the year. "I don't see it bringing up any issues," Busch said. "The fact of him still being there on race weekends and being the leader will definitely keep the continuity together Friday, Saturday and Sunday. With him just showing up on Tuesdays, crew guys are off on Monday, so everybody's off Mondays."
