Roush Fenway Racing crew chief Bob Osborne, the crew chief for driver Carl Edwards, will miss the Budweiser Shootout this weekend because of the death of his father. Chip Bolin will fill in for the No. 99 Ford. Osborne will return next weekend.

Lee Spencer, of FOXSports.com, reports Roush Fenway Racing crew chief Drew Blickensderfer has been promoted from the Nationwide Series to be the crew chief for driver Matt Kenseth and the No. 17 Sprint Cup Series team in 2009. Former crew chief Chip Bolin will return to work as an engineer with the team.

SceneDaily.com reports Roush Fenway Racing driver Chip Bolin, who is crew chief for the No. 17 car and driver Matt Kenseth, was named the Wypall Wipers crew chief of the race for the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway.
