Kent Somers, of the Arizona Republic, reports the Arizona Cardinals saved $600,000 under the salary cap after releasing DT Marcus Bell, DT Barron Tanner, S Justin Lucas, QB Preston Parsons and TE Steve Bush. The team is currently about $8.5 million under the cap.

Tanner is currently working with the first team, while Bryant is sitting out of camp until an agreement is worked out dealing with an injury waiver.

WR/KR MarTay Jenkins (rib/ankle) has still not returned to practice. "It doesn’t look good to me," coach Dave McGinnis stated on the chances of Jenkins being available on Sunday. LB Rob Fredrickson (knee) and CB Tom Knight (hamstring) continue to miss practice and as usual will be game day decisions. LB Raynoch Thompson (knee) and TE Lawrence Hart (ankle) also remained sidelined on Thursday. If Thompson can't play Sunday, Zack Walz will start at left linebacker.

Darren Urban reports for the East Valley Tribune Arizona Cardinals rookie DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (ankle) returned to practice yesterday, but he had to leave after a right knee injury that could jeopardize the rest of Vanden Bosch's rookie season. He had a knee-to-knee hit with linemate Barron Tanner. Vanden Bosch was down on the ground for a few minutes while coach Dave McGinnis stopped practice. He refused to be carted off and he eventually walked off on his own. He was taken for an MRI after practice ended and the Cards won't officially announce a diagnosis until Thursday. The team is pessimistic, and Vanden Bosch sounded the same.

The Washington Post reports Washington Redskins head coach Norv Turner as stating that WR Albert Connell will not play in the season finale against the Miami Dolphins because of an ailing left shoulder. Turner stated he will probably be made inactive Sunday. RB Stephen Davis has already been declared inactive. S Matt Stevens has a pinched nerve in his shoulder and may not play according to Turner. G Brad Badger, OT Jamie Brown and DT Barron Tanner were made inactive.
