Wed, 01 Feb 2012 08:53:31 -0800 Updating a previous report, Stewart-Haas Racing and Tommy Baldwin Racing finalized an alliance Wednesday, Feb. 1, that will lock driver Danica Patrick into the field for the Daytona 500 this year. The No. 10 car will be locked into the entire Sprint Cup schedule this season. Patrick will also be racing in the first five events of the year. TBR driver Dave Blaney will now have to qualify for the Daytona 500.
Tue, 31 Jan 2012 08:33:51 -0800 Stewart-Haas Racing is working on an alliance with Tommy Baldwin Racing that would lock driver Danica Patrick into the Daytona 500 and keep her in the No. 10 car for a good chunk of the 2012 Sprint Cup schedule, according to sources. Patrick is only scheduled for 10 Cup races while racing full time in the Nationwide Series. Tommy Baldwin Racing driver David Reutimann would drive the No. 10 car in as many of the remaining 26 races as possible.
