Jacksonville Jaguars DL Bryan Smith (knee) has been waived, according to Jaguars.com. Smith suffered a knee injury during minicamp and is now on Injured Reserve.

Vito Stellino, of The Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars DL Bryan Smith will start the team's Week 10 game at right defensive end in place of DL Quentin Groves. Head coach Jack Del Rio said both Smith and Groves would play in the game. Del Rio said Smith played a little better than Groves Week 9. Del Rio added, "We'll give him the opportunity to see if he can take advantage of it. He's quick, and he's got some speed leverage off the edge and some natural pass-rush ability."
