Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has said he wants to re-sign the WR Joshua Morgan (leg), who broke his lower right leg Oct. 9. Morgan has reportedly been sprinting, and he promises to be at full speed by the spring.

San Francisco 49ers WR Joshua Morgan (leg) said Wednesday, Dec. 7, that he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a fractured right lower leg. He concluded a workout Wednesday, and said he is scheduled to have his screws removed in a couple of weeks. They were inserted to repair the fracture just above the ankle during his October surgery. "After that, I'll be able to start running - late December or January," Morgan said.

His contract expires after this season, and he was placed on the Injured Reserve list earlier in the day. "Yes, we've told him that," Harbaugh said. "And we'll make that a priority."
