Other candidates for restructured deals include T Fred Miller ($4.654 million), T Brad Hopkins ($4.639 million), and TE Frank Wycheck ($4.081 million). QB Neil O'Donnell ($6.65 million), S Blaine Bishop ($5.848 million) and LB Eddie Robinson ($4 million) may need brand new deals to remain with the team.

The first three mentioned will save the team close to $5M; the latter two could save the team an additional $1M. Releasing WRs Yancey Thigpen and Carl Pickens would save the team around $2.5M. With the team not expected to restructure the deals of any other players, that could put the likes of OL Bruce Matthews ($5.075M), S Blaine Bishop ($4.3M), LB Eddie Robinson ($3.25M) and DT Henry Ford ($3.08M) on the bubble.
