Paul Kuharsky, of ESPN.com, reports the Indianapolis Colts may not have a clear-cut No. 3 receiver this year. WRs Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie may split the role. Garcon has looked very good during training camp and is more confident this season. Collie has been working hard in the slot. There is a chance the two could split the duties, sometimes with Garcon lining up on the outside with either Reggie Wayne or Anthony Gonzalez moving to the slot, or having Collie enter the field in the slot role with Wayne and Gonzalez on the outside.

Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star, reports Indianapolis Colts WR Peyton Manning said he has challenged some of the team's younger wide receivers to emerge as the No. 3 receiver this season. "Every one of those guys, I've told them, 'There's a receiver's spot open right now,' " Manning said. The candidates, Manning said, "need to be saying, 'Hey, that's my job to go win.' It doesn't matter how old you are, how many years you've been in the league. If you win the job, it's yours." WR Roy Hall and WR Pierre Garcon are two possibilities for the No. 3 spot.
