Updating previous reports, Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (shoulder, foot) underwent minor labrum surgery in January. He has recovered from the surgery and should be ready for training camp.

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said WR Pierre Garcon (foot) is about 90 percent recovered from his foot injury, and that he expects Garcon to sit out until training camp.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (shoulder) underwent minor labrum surgery in January but has fully recovered. He was held out of team drills during organized team activities Thursday, May 23, as a precaution.
Fantasy Tip: The team has the option to take things slow with Garcon because the workouts are voluntary. Since Garcon has fully recovered from the surgery, he should be fine for the start of training camp. Garcon could be an every-week starter if QB Robert Griffin III (knee) is healthy but could also be a flex option most weeks. He probably will have more value in standard leagues as opposed to point-per-reception leagues.

Washington Redskins WR Joshua Morgan failed to surpass 60 yards receiving in the final 13 games, including the postseason. In fact, he only surpassed the total once, posting a season-high of 62 yards. No wide receiver other than WR Pierre Garcon had more than 80 receiving yards in a game.

Garcon does not like the idea of having a surgery that would require three to four months to heal, but offer no guarantees of correcting the issue.

Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (shoulder) said Sunday, Jan. 6, his shoulder temporarily popped up. He was able to return to the NFC Wild Card game loss against the Seattle Seahawks, and he finished with four grabs for 50 yards.
