Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers TE Gary Barnidge (ankle) suffered a fractured bone in his ankle during a non-padded practice Thursday, Aug. 18. Even though he did not suffer any ligament damage, a source confirmed Barnidge will be out "at least 12 weeks."

The Gaston Gazette reports Carolina Panthers WR Muhsin Muhammad (knee), TE Dante Rosario (knee) and FS Charles Godfrey (foot) all sat out of practice Thursday, Oct. 29, for the second straight day. WR Dwayne Jarrett will likely start as the No. 2 receiver in Week 8, while CB Sherrod Martin will likely start at free safety. TE Gary Barnidge looks to see increased playing time in place of Rosario.
