Patriots | Danny Amendola ready for Week 3

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 10:59:57 -0700

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee, concussion) proclaimed himself "good to go" for Week 3 versus the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: While an in-game injury is always a risk for someone like Amendola, the primary slot option in the New England offense is always a good bet for a huge PPR day. Even though the Patriots figure to limit his snaps, he should remain a solid WR3 option in most leagues.

Patriots | Danny Amendola a limited participant

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 13:32:08 -0700

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion, knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Amendola will need to pass all of his concussion tests before he is cleared, so he may be a game-time decision. Amendola will have a solid role in the passing game when he returns, but owners may want to use other options this week.

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 14:56:38 -0700

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion, knee) was able to take part in a limited practice on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Amendola's status for Week 3 is uncertain at the moment, but itís a good sign he was able to get out onto the practice field even on a limited basis. He was out in Week 2, but had six grabs for 100 yards in the season opener.

Patriots | Key Patriots practice Wednesday

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 10:36:24 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (groin) and WR Danny Amendola (knee, concussion) were among a group of injured players who were able to practice Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Owners of Gronkowski and Amendola have to be encouraged by this news, as the Patriots would have likely held out both players if there was any concern about setbacks and/or their status for Week 3. For now, it appears both are on the right track to start Week 3 against the Houston Texans. Don't hesitate to start either player, so long as both make it through the week without any further issues.

Patriots | Danny Amendola will not play

Fri, 15 Sep 2017 14:15:28 -0700

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion, knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and has been ruled out for Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Phillip Dorsett likely will serve as the No. 3 receiver for the Patriots this week but may not have a big role in the passing game. Owners should be able to find other receivers to use in their lineups. James White, Rex Burkhead and Dion Lewis may be more involved in the passing game and could be flex options in some leagues.

Patriots | No practice for Danny Amendola on Friday

Fri, 15 Sep 2017 09:33:53 -0700

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion, knee) was absent from practice Friday, Sept. 15.

Fantasy Tip: The Boston Herald's Jeff Howe notes it has been at least nine years since a Patriot played after missing a full week of practice, pretty much confirming Amendola will sit in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints. Brandin Cooks and Chris Hogan figure to see more time in the slot as a result, while James White, Rex Burkhead and possibly even Dion Lewis should see more work in the passing game in what figures to be a bit of a shootout with the Saints.

Patriots | No practice for Danny Amendola

Thu, 14 Sep 2017 10:35:32 -0700

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion, knee) remained out of practice Thursday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Tip: It's looking like a longshot for Amendola to play this week after missing back-to-back practices. Brandin Cooks and Chris Hogan are both great plays, though, especially Cooks in what will be a revenge game on the road against the New Orleans Saints. Look for both receivers to make nice rebounds after a rocky start to the season.
