Free-agent SS Husain Abdullah (concussion) ended the season on Injured Reserve. The team has interest in bringing him back.

Minnesota Vikings SS Husain Abdullah (concussion) said he wants to play next season but will consider retirement if doctors tell him his future may be affected by the concussions he has suffered. Abdullah sustained two concussions this season and has had four in the past two seasons.

Minnesota Vikings SS Husain Abdullah and SS Tyrell Johnson will both be unrestricted free agents at season's end. Week 17 against the Chicago Bears might be their final game with the team. "It's a tough deal when you gave guys that you think can help you, but in this age in free agency you know that most guys that can still perform are going to want to explore," head coach Leslie Frazier said. "We'll do whatever we can with those guys we really want to keep here to try to keep them here."

The Minnesota Vikings placed S Husain Abdullah (concussion), WR Michael Jenkins (knee), OL Cullen Loeffler (shoulder) and S Tyrell Johnson (hamstring) on the Injured Reserve Tuesday, Nov. 29. In corresponding moves, the team signed free-agent WR Stephen Burton (Vikings), DL Matt Katula (Patriots), S Jarrad Page (Eagles) and S Andrew Sendejo (Jets) to their active roster.
