Minnesota Vikings FS Husain Abdullah plans to take a spiritual journey, sitting out the 2012 NFL season. However, the possibility remains that he could resume his playing career sometime in the future. However, Abdullah doesn't sound like he'll be returning to Minnesota. "Minnesota is a beautiful place with beautiful people. Honored I could experience it. Peace," Abdullah said in a text message Friday, June 22.

Minnesota Vikings SS Husain Abdullah and SS Tyrell Johnson will both be unrestricted free agents at season's end. Week 17 against the Chicago Bears might be their final game with the team. "It's a tough deal when you gave guys that you think can help you, but in this age in free agency you know that most guys that can still perform are going to want to explore," head coach Leslie Frazier said. "We'll do whatever we can with those guys we really want to keep here to try to keep them here."
