The team has asked Riggs to start and park going forward because of a lack of finances and sponsor money. "I'm a free agent," said Riggs. "I'm open to listen to any opportunity. I'm just not willing to start and park. That's why I need to leave."

Team owner Tommy Baldwin will serve as Riggs' crew chief and the team plans to run a full schedule. A sponsor has yet to be named for the car.

Mark Aumann, of NASCAR.com, reports Haas CNC Racing driver Scott Riggs is currently looking for a full-time ride for the 2009 Sprint Cup Series schedule. He has been talking to several people, but nothing has been set yet. "It's bittersweet," Riggs said. "It's been such a hard season. I'm glad the season's over, to stop the bleeding. At the same time, with next year not being certain for me and not having a job secured already, man, it's scary times and I'm worried about it."
