SceneDaily.com reports 24 drivers are entered in the 2010 Budweiser Shootout Saturday, Feb. 6. The drivers entered include Cope/Keller Racing driver Derrike Cope, Penske Championship Racing driver Kurt Busch, Hendrick Motorsports driver Mark Martin, Richard Petty Motorsports driver Kasey Kahne, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin, Stewart-Haas Racing driver Tony Stewart, Roush Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle, Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon, Stewart-Haas Racing driver Ryan Newman, Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing driver Juan Pablo Montoya, Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson, Red Bull Racing driver Brian Vickers, Roush Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards, TRG Motorsports driver Bobby Labonte, Roush Fenway Racing driver Matt Kenseth, Richard Childress Racing driver Kevin Harvick, Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., Red Bull Racing driver Ken Schrader, Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing driver Jamie McMurray, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch, Richard Childress Racing driver Jeff Burton, Front Row Motorsports driver John Andretti, Michael Waltrip Racing driver Michael Waltrip and Joe Gibbs Racing driver Joey Logano.

Bob Pockrass, of SceneDaily.com, reports Michael Waltrip Racing driver Michael Waltrip announced Wednesday, Jan. 20, that he will only race in the Budweiser Shootout and Daytona 500 during the 2010 Sprint Cup season. "I'm comfortable with that," Waltrip said. "I talked to Billy Ballew about running some (Camping World) Truck (Series) races. I definitely am going to run a couple of those. When I think about going to Daytona, I get excited because I know I know how to win that race. When I think about (the next Cup races at) California and (Las) Vegas, I just haven't performed at a level that makes me say, 'I'm going to go out there and (win).'" Driver Martin Truex Jr. will replace Waltrip as the full-time driver with Pat Tryson serving as the crew chief. Truex will be driving the No. 56 car this season, while Waltrip will drive the No. 51 car.
