Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch will run in the last two Sprint Cup Series races of the season, but he'll do it without his primary sponsor, M&M's on his Toyota. He will instead be sponsored by Interstate Batteries in the last two Cup events.

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch was parked for the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series races over the weekend after he deliberately wrecked driver Ron Hornaday Jr. in the Truck Series Friday, Nov. 4. "I understand why I was taken out of the car for the rest of the weekend. NASCAR officials had to act, and I accept their punishment and take full responsibility for my actions," Busch wrote. "As a racecar driver, the hardest thing to do is to sit on the sidelines listening to cars on the track when you know you should be out there competing. For this, I have no one to blame but myself." Driver Michael McDowell replaced Busch in the Cup race Sunday, Nov. 6, and finished 33rd, dropping Busch to 11th in the Chase standings. At 100 points back of the leader, Busch has officially been eliminated.

Kyle Busch and his No. 18 Toyota won the Nationwide Series race Saturday, July 16, at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. It was his 49th career Nationwide Series victory, tying him with Mark Martin for first place in career wins on that circuit.

Busch also became the third NASCAR driver to win 100 races during a career. Busch wouldn't call the win the biggest of his career, but noted it was definitely a "special day" and was a victory that would stick out o him for a long time.

Busch has set his goal of reaching 200 wins, which has only been done by Richard Petty, who won all of his races on the Cup level. Busch's 100 wins are spread over the top three national series in NASCAR.

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch and owner Joe Gibbs were penalized six championship owner and six championship driver points respectively for failing a post-race inspection after the Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway last weekend. Officials found that the No. 18 car's front left was too low. Crew chief Dave Rogers was also fined $25,000. Busch is fifth in the standings and now trails Roush Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards for the lead by 31 points.
