Furniture Row Racing | Kurt Busch to test Indy car

Furniture Row Racing driver Kurt Busch will test an Indy car for Andretti Autosport at Indianapolis Motor Speedway next week. Busch will drive Hunter-Reay's No. 1 Chevrolet for the testing, and Busch said he's open to the idea of one day running in the Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.

Furniture Row Racing driver Kurt Busch said it will be a "strong option" to stay with the team moving into the 2014 season after signing with the Sprint Cup team last year. There has been much speculation that Busch was eventually looking to sign on with Richard Childress Racing. FRR general manager Joe Garone said the team is already having preliminary discussions with Busch, but serious talks won't likely start until after April.

Phoenix Racing | Have big plans for 2013

Phoenix Racing plans to have driver Regan Smith driver in the Daytona 500 this year and they will have Smith and driver A.J. Allmendinger share duties in the Sprint Cup Series. Driver Kurt Busch is hoping to drive for the team in the Nationwide Series. Smith will drive at Daytona and possibly seven to 10 Cup races throughout the season. Allmendinger's first race is expected to be at Phoenix.

Furniture Row Racing driver Kurt Busch won't be penalized for ignoring NASCAR officials when they tried to stop his car after a crash in the Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway last weekend. Busch said he never heard NASCAR's requests to stop because he had taken his helmet off that contained radio communication.

Furniture Row Racing announced Thursday, Sept. 27, that Phoenix Racing driver Kurt Busch will replace driver Regan Smith in the No. 78 car for the final five Sprint Cup races of the season. Busch will drive the car after the Oct. 7 race at Talladega Superspeedway. Busch is currently 25th in points, two spots behind Smith.

Furniture Row Racing announced Monday, Sept. 24, that Phoenix Racing driver Kurt Busch will join the Sprint Cup team and drive the No. 78 Chevrolet next season, replacing driver Regan Smith. Busch is currently 25th in the points standings and has only one top-five finish in the Cup series this year.

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch added a Nationwide Series race to his scheduled this year after missing out on the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Busch was a late addition to the Nationwide race at Chicagoland Speedway Saturday, Sept. 15, replacing driver Kurt Busch in the No. 54 Kyle Busch Motorsports car.
