Driver Kurt Busch will run a limited Nationwide Series schedule for Phoenix Racing in 2012. He will make his debut in the No. 1 car in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Busch will run in all other major events with sponsorship still being worked on.

Penske Championship Racing and driver Kurt Busch have agreed to a mutual split, as was announced Monday, Dec. 5. "I am grateful to Penske Racing for six very productive years," Busch said. "Together we won a lot of races - 16 in all. Leaving a great organization and a lucrative contract is not easy, but it's an important step for me and allows me to take a deep breath to work on things that can make me a better driver and a better person."

Penske Championship Racing driver Kurt Busch will see a sports psychologist in the offseason to help him deal with anger issues that led to his $50,000 fine after the Sprint Cup season finale. "It's personal, of course. Working with a sports psychologist I've gotten a small grasp, but there's obviously bigger things I have to accomplish. Things can't happen overnight," Busch said.

Penske Championship Racing driver Kurt Busch was fined $50,000 Friday, Nov. 25, for poor behavior in the Sprint Cup season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway last weekend. Busch made an obscene gesture while in his car and was verbally abusive to a reporter.
