Great Clips will sponsor the ride for 28 races, including 27 among Kahne and Sweet and one for driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. Driver Regan Smith will move to the No. 7 car and Earnhardt will drive the No. 88 car in a select number of events.

He is expected to be ready to race in the Budweiser Shootout Feb. 18 and the Daytona 500 Feb. 26. There are no plans to have a backup driver at Daytona.
