Thu, 02 May 2013 08:57:23 -0700 Penske Championship Racing drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano both lost their initial appeals of penalties against them Thursday, May 2. NASCAR upheld the fines, points penalties and suspensions issued for unapproved rear housing parts that were found during post-race inspections of both cars during the April 13 Texas race. Fantasy Tip: None of these penalties or suspensions will affect Keselowski's or Logano's participation in the Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend or following races, however. If you are considering them for your lineup this weekend, carry on.

Fantasy Tip: Hamlin will have two weeks to get better before the Sprint Cup Series moves to Martinsville in his home state of Virginia. Right now it's too early to say if Hamlin will be ready, and what sort of contingency plan there is if he cannot race.
