The Sprint Cup Series heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday, March 9, and NASCAR's Loop Data from the past nine races at LVMS shows Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson ranked on top with a Driver Rating of 112.3. He is one of four drivers to participate in all 16 races at the track since the first Winston Cup Series race in 1998. He leads the series in average finish at 9.5, just ahead of Roush-Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards (9.6).

Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson ran up front for most of the Ford EcoBoost 400 Sunday, Nov. 17, at Homestead -Miami Speedway, and he ended up in ninth place to finish the race. It was more than enough to secure his sixth Sprint Cup Series championship. "I have six. We'll see if I can get seven," Johnson said. "Time will tell. I think we need to save the argument (of greatest ever) until I hang up the helmet."

Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson was penalized for jumping the final restart Sunday, June 2, at the FedEx 400 at Dover International Speedway. He was given the black flag, and forced to drive through the pits, dropping him out of contention. He finished 17th, and was visibly upset after the race.
