Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon won the final Sprint Cup race of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday, Nov. 18.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon was fined $100,000 and docked 25 points and put on probation for the rest of the season for intentionally crashing Michael Waltrip Racing driver Clint Bowyer in the Sprint Cup race at Phoenix International Raceway last weekend. "I take responsibility for my actions on the racetrack," Gordon said in a statement. "I accept NASCAR's decision and look forward to ending the season on a high note at Homestead." Bowyer finished in 28th place, eliminating him championship contention with only one race left. Also, owner Rick Hendrick was docked 25 owner points and crew chief Alan Gustafson was placed on probation for the rest of the season. Bowyer's crew chief, Brian Pattie, was fined $25,000 and put on probation through Dec. 31. Gordon's loss of points dropped him to 11th in the standings.

Roush Fenway Racing driver Matt Kenseth won the Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday, Oct. 7, and he finished the race under caution. Kenseth and Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon, who finished second, were the only Chase drivers to avoid the nasty wreck near the end of the race. Gordon moved up four spots in the standings to sixth with six races left.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon finished second in the Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway Saturday, Sept. 8, to earn the final spot in the 12-driver Chase for the Sprint Cup title. Gordon took the final spot away from Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch. Busch finished 16th in the race to miss out on the final spot by only three points, missing the Chase for only the second time in his career.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the pole for the Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway Saturday, Sept. 8. Teammate driver Jeff Gordon will start in the second spot. It is the 11th career pole for Earnhardt.

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Tony Stewart and Hendrick Motorsports driver Kasey Kahne are in the 10th and 11th spots currently. Stewart-Haas Racing driver Ryan Newman, Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon, Richard Petty Motorsports driver Marcos Ambrose, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch and Joe Gibbs Racing driver Joey Logano are fighting for the final playoff spot.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson was docked 25 driver points Wednesday, Feb. 29, and crew chief Chad Knaus was suspended six races by NASCAR after the No. 48 car failed an inspection Feb. 17 before the Budweiser Shootout. Car owner Jeff Gordon was docked 25 owner points, and Knaus was also fined $100,000.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon ended the 2012 Budweiser Shootout on his roof Saturday, Feb. 18. Gordon got tangled up in a big wreck late in the wild race.
