Next Level Scouting, Inc. reports Tennessee Titans DL Jevon Kearse (arm) did not practice Thursday, July 31, so he could rest his injured right arm. He is expected to practice over the weekend and Monday, Aug. 4, at the latest. The extent of the injury has not been made public but Kearse suffered the injury in an earlier practice.

Paul Kuharsky, of ESPN.com, reports the Tennessee Titans feel DL Jevon Kearse can approach the form he displayed during his first tenure with the team. "I think he sort of realizes (coming back) wasn't for the money as much as it was to sort of restore his name a little bit," said defensive line coach Jim Washburn. "He's a punch line of some jokes. In Philadelphia he's a joke. I still think he has some ability if he can stay healthy."

During an interview with ESPN's Paul Kuharsky, Kearse said everything happens for a reason and it may help tick him off to become more motivated. "They'll say, 'Why the hell did we let that dude go?'" Kearse said of the Eagles.

Jim Wyatt, of The Nashville Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans DL Jevon Kearse faces a number of penalties after being charged with driving under the influence early Sunday, June 22. If convicted, the fine could range from $350-1,500 and jail time could range from 24 hours to 11 months. Kearse could also be required to perform 24 hours of community service and attend an alcohol safety class.
