Tue, 31 Jan 2012 08:33:51 -0800 Stewart-Haas Racing is working on an alliance with Tommy Baldwin Racing that would lock driver Danica Patrick into the Daytona 500 and keep her in the No. 10 car for a good chunk of the 2012 Sprint Cup schedule, according to sources. Patrick is only scheduled for 10 Cup races while racing full time in the Nationwide Series. Tommy Baldwin Racing driver David Reutimann would drive the No. 10 car in as many of the remaining 26 races as possible.

PCR will consider Ragan "and others" for the No. 22 car next season. Michael Waltrip Racing driver David Reutimann and Red Bull Racing Brian Vickers are other drivers that could be considered. Driver Sam Hornish Jr. will not be under consideration.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Mark Martin is expected to step in in 2012 for a partial Sprint Cup schedule in the No. 00 car. Reutimann will run the last three Cup races this season.

The windshields were taken from drivers David Reutimann and Martin Truex Jr. and one from JTG Daugherty Racing driver Bobby Labonte. They were taken because they had unapproved modifications.
