Front Row Motorsports teammates David Ragan and David Gilliland finished first and second at the Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday, May 5. With Ragan's win, and Gilliland's runner-up finish, Front Row Motorsports raked in $608,261, which was a welcome payday for a team run by owner Bob Jenkins who predominantly funds the team out of his own pocket.

Front Row Motorsports announced Thursday, Jan. 17, that they will switch up their crew chief lineup for the upcoming Sprint Cup Series schedule. Driver David Gilliland will return to the No. 38 Ford with crew chief Frank Kerr at the helm. Crew chief Steven Lane will work with driver Josh Wise in the No. 26 Ford. Driver David Ragan will remain with crew chief Jay Guy in the No. 34 Ford.

Front Row Motorsports announced Friday, Dec. 14, that drivers David Ragan and David Gilliland will return next season. Driver Josh Wise will also run a full Sprint Cup schedule with them. FRM will continue to run Fords and get their engines from Roush Yates Engines. Wise will return to the team's No. 26 car and run all 36 races with MDS Transport as the sponsor.

Front Row Motorsports driver Landon Cassill announced Friday, Feb. 3, that he will not drive the No. 26 Ford in the Daytona 500, citing a full-time opportunity with another team as the reason. FRM still plans to run three cars in the Daytona 500 alongside drivers David Gilliland and David Ragan. Drivers Travis Kvapil and Tony Raines are candidates to drive the third car.

Front Row Motorsports announced Monday, Jan. 16, that driver David Ragan will join the team and drive the No. 34 Ford Fusion for the 2012 Sprint Cup season. Driver David Gilliland will drive the No. 38 car as his teammate.

Free-agent driver David Ragan (Roush Fenway Racing) met with Penske Championship Racing officials over the weekend about replacing driver Kurt Busch in the No. 22 car next season. However, Phoenix Racing owner James Finch said he has a deal with Ragan to driver the No. 51 Chevrolet next year unless Ragan receives a better offer from another team.

Roush Fenway Racing officially released driver David Ragan Monday, Dec. 5, and he is now looking to replace driver Kurt Busch at Penske Championship Racing. PCR will consider Ragan "and others" for the No. 22 car next season. Michael Waltrip Racing driver David Reutimann and Red Bull Racing Brian Vickers are other drivers that could be considered. Driver Sam Hornish Jr. will not be under consideration.

Roush Fenway Racing owner Jack Roush said driver David Ragan is unlikely to have a spot on the team in 2012. However, drivers Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Trevor Bayne will have spots on the team in 2012. "Right now I don't see having something for David next year," Roush said. "We aren't far enough along."

Roush Fenway Racing president Steve Newmark expects the team to shrink from four cars to three in the 2012 Sprint Cup season. Drivers Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle are both fully sponsored for next year, but driver Matt Kenseth doesn't have sponsorship yet. Driver David Ragan could run a limited schedule. Drivers Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Trevor Bayne could also see time in a fourth car.
