Randy Humphrey Racing driver Dave Blaney has withdrawn from the Daytona 500 after totaling his car in the first full practice Wednesday, Feb. 19. "We didn't want to go home with a junk race car and not even a shot to make it," Blaney said. "But that's where we're at."

Phoenix Racing announced Tuesday, June 5, that driver David Reutimann will replace driver Kurt Busch in the No. 51 car for the Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway this weekend. Tommy Baldwin Racing driver Dave Blaney will drive the No. 10 car of Reutimann this weekend.

Drivers Dave Blaney, Robby Gordon, Joe Nemechek and Michael McDowell all raced their way into the Daytona 500 this weekend during the Gatorade Duels Thursday, Feb. 23. Drivers Michael Waltrip, Kenny Wallace, Bill Elliott, Robert Richardson Jr., J.J. Yeley and Mike Wallace failed to qualify for the race.

Updating a previous report, Stewart-Haas Racing and Tommy Baldwin Racing finalized an alliance Wednesday, Feb. 1, that will lock driver Danica Patrick into the field for the Daytona 500 this year. The No. 10 car will be locked into the entire Sprint Cup schedule this season. Patrick will also be racing in the first five events of the year. TBR driver Dave Blaney will now have to qualify for the Daytona 500.

Free-agent driver David Reutimann (Michael Waltrip Racing) will join Tommy Baldwin Racing for the 2012 Sprint Cup season. Reutimann will team up with driver Dave Blaney. Sponsorship for Reutimann's car will be announced at a later date.

Tommy Baldwin Racing drivers Dave Blaney and Geoff Bodine will swap cars in the Sprint Cup Series for the last three races of the season. Blaney, who was driving the No. 36 Chevrolet, will now driver the No. 35 entry driven by Bodine.

Tommy Baldwin Racing and driver Dave Blaney have secured sponsorship with Golden Corral that will allow them to race in an additional 19 Sprint Cup races this year. Big Red soft drink signed on for another five races, allowing the team to run a full season. Financial terms of the sponsorship deals were not disclosed.
