Jennifer Floyd Engel, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells said CB Donald Mitchell will see a lot of action in the Saturday, Aug. 21, preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.

Nick Eatman, of Cowboys.com, reports Dallas Cowboys CB Donald Mitchell (ankle) is expected to be at 100 percent health when the team opens minicamp workouts in April. Mitchell spent all of last season on injured reserve after suffering a high ankle sprain in the preseason.

Cowboys | CB Not High Priority

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said adding a cornerback was not as big a priority as originally thought. The Cowboys hoped to find a free-agent upgrade from departed free agent CB Mario Edwards. If they don't, Jones said the Cowboys are comfortable with reserve CBs Peter Hunter, Donald Mitchell and possibly Andrew Davison competing for the starting job on the right side, opposite LCB Terence Newman.

Updating previous reports, Dallas Cowboys CB Donald Mitchell (ankle) is expected to miss three to four weeks with the sprained left ankle he suffered on Thursday, Aug. 28 in an exhibition game against the Oakland Raiders, according to Cliff Cook of DallasCowboys.com.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports the Dallas Cowboys might not need to dig so deep for help at cornerback while Cowboys CB Derek Ross is out. Cowboys CB Peter Hunter (arm) said he expects to play when the season begins next week after being fitted for a cast on his fractured left forearm. Cowboys CB Donald Mitchell (ankle) left the Thursday, Aug. 28 pre-season game with a sprained ankle. He was in a boot after the game and said he hoped to be ready for the Sept. 7 season opener.
