Penske Championship Racing | Brad Keselowski docked six points

Penske Championship Racing driver Brad Keselowski was docked six points and his crew chief Paul Wolfe was fined $25,000 after the front end of their No. 2 Ford was found to be too low after a post-race inspection at last weekend's Sprint Cup race at Dover International Speedway. The penalties drop Keselowski to 10th in the standings, eight points ahead of Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon. Owner Roger Penske was docked six owner's points. The team won't appeal the penalties.

Penske Championship Racing | Broken part led to Brad Keselowski's failed test

Penske Championship Racing said that driver Brad Keselowski's car failed a post-race inspection at Dover last weekend because of a broken part in the front of his Ford. NASCAR ruled that his car was too low after he finished fifth in the race. A broken part allowed a spring to fall and lower the car.

Penske Championship Racing driver Brad Keselowski posted a fifth-place finish at the FedEx 400 at Dover International Speedway Sunday, June 2. However, his Ford was measured too low in post-race inspection, and NASCAR officials will review the matter June 4. Keselowski could be fined and/or docked team points.

Penske Championship Racing | Crew members have suspensions reduced

NASCAR chief appellate officer John Middlebrook upheld all the fines and points penalties for drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano, but he reduced the suspensions of seven crew members from six races to two races. Keselowski and Logano were docked 25 points in the driver and owner standings.

Penske Championship Racing drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano both lost their initial appeals of penalties against them Thursday, May 2. NASCAR upheld the fines, points penalties and suspensions issued for unapproved rear housing parts that were found during post-race inspections of both cars during the April 13 Texas race.

Fantasy Tip: None of these penalties or suspensions will affect Keselowski's or Logano's participation in the Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend or following races, however. If you are considering them for your lineup this weekend, carry on.

Penske Championship Racing drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano were both docked 25 points each, as were their car owners, from penalties from race inspections at Texas Motor Speedway last weekend. Crew chief Paul Wolfe for Keselowski and crew chief Todd Gordon for Logano were suspended for six point races and the All-Star race and fined $100,000 each. The team plans to appeal the rulings.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished second at the Auto Club 400 Sunday, March 24, and he moved into first place in the overall Sprint Cup Series standings as a result. He has a 12-point lead of Penske Championship driver Brad Keselowski, who was the 2012 Sprint Cup Series champion.

Penske Championship Racing driver Brad Keselowski edged Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson for the team's first ever Sprint championship. Keselowski finished 15th at Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday, Nov. 18. Keselowski needed just 125 Cup starts to win his first championship, the fewest since driver Jeff Gordon won the title in just 93 starts in 1995.
