Red Bull Racing could sign Kahne to a deal in the No. 83 Toyota as early as this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. Driver Aric Almirola will now fill Kahne's seat at Richard Petty Motorsports. Fantasy Tip: Kahne's 2010 season has been a big disappointment, and this move has solidified his spot outside of the top-ranked drivers. However, keep an eye out to see how he fares with a new team. If he shows promise in his new ride in these last five races, Kahne could be a good bet to rebound next year with Red Bull Racing. Almirola should not be considered for a start this weekend, even as a No. 4 driver.

If that happens, it would affect the contract of driver Martin Truex Jr., as his contract states his team must give him two teammates or he can leave. It also affects the contract with Bass Pro Shops, as they have a performance clause in their deal and Truex is 28th in points so the team is in a precarious situation. Finally, a deal with Chevrolet could also be impacted. Chevrolet would have the ability to alter their support for Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing if three teams are not covered.
