TRG Motorsports driver Andy Lally was named the Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year for the 2011 season Friday, Dec. 2. He didn't have any top-10 finishes and finished in the top 20 just once this year.

TRG Motorsports announced Wednesday, April 13, that crew chief Doug Richert will serve as the team's new crew chief, according to SceneDaily.com's Bob Pockrass. He will serve as the crew chief for driver Andy Lally.

Driver Hermie Sadler will attempt to make a return to the Sprint Cup Series for TRG Motorsports at Martinsville Speedway this year, according to FOXSports.com's Lee Spencer. TRG also announced that they are shifting to interim crew chief Paul Chapprood for the race at Auto Club Speedway this weekend with Andy Lally driving the entry. Chapprood replaces crew chief Jay Guy, who has joined Front Row Motorsports driver Travis Kvapil's team.
