Former Richard Petty Motorsports driver A.J. Allmendinger will join Penske Championship Racing and drive the No. 22 car in the Sprint Cup Series next season. Allmendinger will be replacing driver Kurt Busch.

Former Roush Fenway Racing crew chief Greg Erwin, the crew chief for driver Greg Biffle, will join Richard Petty Motorsports and driver A.J. Allmendinger, effective immediately. Mike Shiplett has been working as Allmendinger's crew chief.
