Newly acquired St. Louis Rams OT Wayne Hunter started every game with the New York Jets last season while working under offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. Hunter needs to pass his physical for the deal to go through. With the Rams, he is expected to serve as the team's third tackle behind OTs Rodger Saffold and Barry Richardson.

St. Louis Rams OT Barry Richardson said he knew when he signed with the team that he would be a depth players and is surprised that he is in mix for the starting right tackle position. Richardson is in a battle with OT Jason Smith for the job and a decision may not be made until all the preseason games are finished.
