During an interview on NFL Network's "NFL AM" program, New York Giants CB Terrell Thomas (knee) said he feels head coach Tom Coughlin has one more year of coaching left in him. Coughlin is signed through the 2014 season. "But I think he has one more in him," said Thomas, a second-round pick in 2008 who missed the past two seasons with ACL injuries. "We have a great nucleus of guys, and I don't think he wants to give that up. That passion is still burning within him. He's in that facility all day every day; he's going crazy not being able to coach and watch film. He lives and breathes football. He has everybody in there all day, every day, in the offseason," Thomas said. Coughlin, 66, has given no public indications of his plans.

New York Giants impending free-agent CB Terrell Thomas (knee) plans to return to football next year after having three surgeries on the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. "I am returning to football in 2013, hopefully with the Giants but my (contract) is up this year," Thomas wrote. "Most likely and hopefully I will be resigning with the Giants." It's unlikely that the team will exercise his $6 million option due this spring. Thomas will begin a new training regimen this offseason that will include 200 pushups and 300 repetitions of abdominal exercises every night.
