Dolphins | Reid home after surgery

The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins outside linebackers coach Jim Reid is home recovering from surgery and an undisclosed illness. Head coach Tony Sparano said Thursday, Oct. 9, that Reid left the hospital about a week ago.

Dolphins | Reid out indefinitely

Updating a previous item, Harvey Fialkov, of the South Florida SunSentinel, reports Miami Dolphins outside linebackers coach Jim Reid is undergoing undisclosed surgery Thursday, Sept. 25, and will be out indefinitely. Reid was taken to a hospital via ambulance after feeling dizzy following a 10-minute run Wednesday, Sept. 24. Defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni will take over Reid's duties.

Dolphins | Reid hired as linebackers coach

The Sports Network reports the Miami Dolphins have hired former Virginia Military Institute head coach Jim Reid as the team's new linebackers coach. Reid previously worked with Dolphins defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni at Syracuse University in 2003.
