Buffalo Bills head coach Gregg Williams said TE Jay Riemersma suffered an injury to his sciatic nerve, which he was able to bounce back from. DE Phil Hansen tweaked his elbow a few times and had to come out of the ball game but was all right. LB Fred Jones (sprained shoulder) was also able to come back and the injury isn't believed to be serious.

Also doubtful is WR Jeremy McDaniel (high ankle sprain). S Tony Driver (shoulder) is questionable, and LB Fred Jones (back) and QB Rob Johnson (neck) are probable.

Geoff Hobson reports for Bengals.com S Tremain Mack had to start tonight's pre-season game at free safety because starter Chris Carter couldn't start because of a sore hamstring. Mack hurt his shoulder on the kickoff before the first defensive series and was replaced by JoJuan Armour because his return was questionable. Carter eventually had to play too. DB Corey Hall got thrown out of the game with Bills LB Fred Jones after an altercation midway through the second quarter.

During Thursday morning's news conference, Bills head coach Wade Phillips said LT John Fina (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, and he probably won't practice today, Thursday. According to Phillips, CB Donovan Greer (ankle) feels much better and is improving day-by-day. LB Fred Jones (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, but is significantly better today, Thursday. RB Sammy Morris (ankle) had a limited practice Wednesday, and will be close this week to playing Phillips said.

The Buffalo news reports three players suffered injuries against the Miami Dolphins Sunday. LT John injured his right knee and had to leave the game briefly, but later returned. NT Ted Washington broke two fingers on his right hand, but he probably won't miss any game time. Rookie LB Fred Jones had a slightly sprained ankle and will be evaluated later this week.
