The Arizona Diamondbacks are expected to discuss a long-term contract extension with OF Gerardo Parra in the offseason. The team could also make a multi-year offer to RP Brad Ziegler, who has a year of arbitration eligibility left. "I love it here," Parra said. "I don't want to listen now. I don't want to be talking about that when I play. After the season, maybe. It would be something good. I just want to play baseball and finish strong." Arizona Diamondbacks general manager Kevin Towers indicated the team may look to add a corner outfield that has power this offseason. The team likely will not be able to sign a high-profile free agent, so the team probably would have to trade for an outfielder. Towers indicated to the team could trade OF A.J. Pollock, OF Adam Eaton or OF Gerardo Parra in order to add a corner outfielder because those players receive interest from other teams.

Arizona Diamondbacks INF Eric Hinske has been suspended for five games for leaving the dugout and his aggressive actions during the incidents in his team's game on Tuesday, June 11, against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Manager Kirk Gibson has been suspended for one game for the intentional actions of SP Ian Kennedy in that contest after a warning had been issued. Gibson is scheduled to serve his suspension on Friday, June 14.
Also, C Miguel Montero and OF Gerardo Parra were fined undisclosed amounts. All player discipline is subject to appeal.
The Diamondbacks will not be allowed to have players who are on the DL to sit in their dugout for their games throughout this coming weekend. Those players may return to their benches on Monday, June 17.
Fantasy Tip: Phew. Thankfully, for fantasy owners, Montero and Parra escaped without suspensions. The rest of this is inconsequential for fantasy purposes, essentially. The Dodgers had players who are on the DL leave the dugout, not the Snakes, but so be it.

Arizona Diamondbacks OF Adam Eaton (elbow) has no structural damage in his elbow, based on MRI results, the team announced. He'll strengthen around the area for two to three weeks and then begin a throwing program.
Fantasy Tip: The Snakes have apparently given no additional details about a timetable following the outfielder's recent setback, but it sounds like Eaton is unlikely to return before mid- to late June. They'll probably proceed a little more cautiously this time. A.J. Pollock's seemingly dwindling value just received a slight jolt, although he's still contending with Jason Kubel, Gerardo Parra and Cody Ross.
