Cleveland Browns DL Ahtyba Rubin said Wednesday, April 17, that he weighs 306 pounds. He played at about 315-320 pounds last season, but is watching what he eats.
Fantasy Tip: Rubin is trying to slim down since he'll be rushing the quarterback off the edge from the defensive end position in the team's new 3-4 defensive scheme. If he sticks around, he could be an intriguing fantasy option in the later rounds in formats which use individual defensive players (IDP).

Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini said he has been impressed with how DL Ahtyba Rubin has played so far this season, reports Mary Kay Cabot, of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. "There's a range of emotions that you go through. Then you watch a guy like Rubin, and his effort throughout the course of that game from start to finish was just impressive," Mangini said. Rubin ranks second on the team with 51 tackles and is the most among defensive linemen and linebackers.
