The Minnesota Twins rested OF Josh Willingham and C Ryan Doumit on Sunday, May 19, against the Boston Red Sox. Willingham entered Sunday hitting just .103 (4-for-39) over his last 10 games with no homers to lower his average to .108 on the season. OF Wilkin Ramirez made the start in left field in his place. As for Doumit, he was given the day off after catching the day before in a game that lasted three hours and 53 minutes. He was also involved in a collision at home plate with Red Sox C Ryan Lavarnway in the sixth inning.

Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said OF Wilkin Ramirez is the backup to OF Aaron Hicks in center field, but Gardenhire won't be afraid to use 2B Eduardo Escobar in center field, either.

The Minnesota Twins reinstated OF Wilkin Ramirez from the paternity leave list Tuesday, April 16, and optioned OF Oswaldo Arcia to Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: Keep Arcia on your radar in AL-only leagues, especially if Aaron Hicks continues to struggle in his first major league trial. It's possible that they'll choose to send Hicks back down to the minors; he's looked pretty overmatched at the plate so far.

The Minnesota Twins recalled OF Oswaldo Arcia from Triple-A Rochester Monday, April 15, and placed OF Wilkin Ramirez on the paternity list in a corresponding move. Arcia will bat seventh and start in left field Monday. Arcia was hitting .414 with three home runs and eight RBIs in nine games with Rochester.

Fantasy Tip: Arcia is a good target in AL-only leagues. He set career highs in doubles and homers in the minors last year, but his high number of swings and misses could be compounded in his first major league go-round.
