Tom Orsborn, of the San Antonio Express-News, reports Dallas Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins and CB Orlando Scandrick likely will split reps with the first-team defense at the start of training camp as the two battle for the starting spot opposite CB Terence Newman. Jenkins said he would be upset with himself if he did not win the job.

Hill Jr., of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is open to the possibility of bringing back free-agent CB Adam Jones (Cowboys), even though it is a long shot. When reached in his private suite after the George Strait concert Saturday, June 6, to open the new Cowboys Stadium, Jones asked a reporter, "Would you beat me up too bad if I brought back Adam?" The Cowboys might be hesitant to bring back Jones because it could stunt the progress of CBs Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins.
