Updating previous reports, Barry Jackson, of The Miami Herald, reports former NFL WR Keyshawn Johnson is still seriously considering a comeback to the NFL. However, Johnson's possible comeback did not come up in a conversation with Miami Dolphins director of football operations Bill Parcells last month.

Omar Kelly, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, reports free agent WR Keyshawn Johnson (Panthers), who did not play in the 2007 season, has received no offers from his former head coach Bill Parcells to play for the Miami Dolphins. Johnson said he remains in contact with Parcells, who is now in the front office for the Dolphins, about whether or not to return to football, but Parcells has not asked Johnson to play for him in Miami.

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports ESPN analyst and free-agent WR Keyshawn Johnson (Panthers) has contacted Miami Dolphins vice president of football operations Bill Parcells about returning as either a player or in a front office capacity, according to sources.

Jeff Darlington, of The Miami Herald, reports former WR Keyshawn Johnson has not ruled out the possibility of making a comeback to play with the Miami Dolphins. Johnson is close friends with vice president of football operations Bill Parcells. Johnson's agent, Jerome Stanley, said Johnson is happy with his job at ESPN but mentioned if Parcells thought Johnson could be an impact then it might be enough to lure him out of retirement.

The Titans Radio Network reports Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young is confident in his receivers and said they have played well enough through the first month of minicamps. He also said WR Keyshawn Johnson's (Panthers) decision to retire instead of playing with Tennessee did not discourage him. "I feel like [the guys we have] are going to be alright, it's just everyone else that is doubting them. That's the good part about it. It keeps motivating those guys to show that they can do this or that. We don't need [Keyshawn Johnson] to come in to make us better. The young guys are going good. I'm proud of them," Young said.


Titans | Team offered K. Johnson a two-year deal

Jim Wyatt, of the Nashville Tennessean, reports the agent for retired WR Keyshawn Johnson said the Tennessee Titans offered Johnson a two-year deal worth between $7 million and $8 million "with a substantial portion guaranteed.'' Johnson told head coach Jeff Fisher he was "very close" to signing with the Titans but decided to retire.

ESPN.com reports free-agent WR Keyshawn Johnson (Panthers) is expected to announce his retirement from the National Football League Wednesday, May 23, after 11 seasons. Johnson has declined a contract offer from the Tennessee Titans. He is expected to pursue a career in broadcasting.

Teresa M. Walker, of The Associated Press, reports free-agent WR Keyshawn Johnson (Panthers) said Friday, May 18, he has no timetable for when he hopes to sign a deal. Johnson met with the Tennessee Titans Friday, May 18. "At the end of the day…we'll just see where it goes from here and do business," Johnson said. "I don't have any timetable, to be honest with you. There's no rush on my part. I came to meet the organization, meet the people, see the community and stuff like that."
