Chicago Bears WR Earl Bennett was injured by a hit from New Orleans Saints SS Roman Harper, who was not flagged or fined, in a Week 2 loss to the Saints. Bennett missed five weeks with a chest injury, and said if the Saints were gunning for him, he's looking for payback. "All I have to say is I hope we play them again," Bennett said. "The game of football is a contact sport, so if they're gunning for me, I'm going to be gunning for them."

Chicago Bears WR Earl Bennett managed just one reception in Week 16 against the Green Bay Packers, and it went for a 49-yard gain to the Green Bay 1-yard line in the third quarter. Bennett's production has tailed off significantly since QB Jay Cutler (thumb) went down with an injury. He has just four receptions for 79 yards over his past five games.

Chicago Bears WR Johnny Knox had three receptions for a team-high 37 yards in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos. WR Roy Williams was the only other wideout to record a catch, posting two grabs for 22 yards. WRs Earl Bennett and Devin Hester each had no receptions and were just targeted once each.

Chicago Bears WR Earl Bennett said he plans to wear his banned orange cleats, that have netted him $15,000 in fines, for the team's Dec. 25 game. Bennett said Tuesday, Dec. 6, that the orange cleats are "in the family vault," but "I think I'm gonna pull them back out for Christmas; probably Lambeau (Field)."
