Mon, 17 Jun 2013 07:04:19 -0700 Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (calf) said he'll most likely be ready for training camp. Fantasy Tip: It's a bit noteworthy that there is even a question that he'll be ready. We expect him to be there, but this is the first inclination that he may not be ready.
Wed, 29 May 2013 20:17:41 -0700 Houston Texans RB Ben Tate worked with the first-team offense during organized team activities (OTAs) with RB Arian Foster (calf) away from the team due to injury. Tate gets six total practices to shine in the top spot. "He steps up today and works as the starter, but Ben's been working good either way," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "He's had a really good offseason; he's been here every day, and it's an opportunity for him this next six practices to be the bell cow, so to speak, and that'll be good for him in the long run." Tate is entering the final year of his contract. Fantasy Tip: Tate is a talented player in his own right, and if Foster were to suffer a long-term injury of some sort, Tate is more than capable of being a solid and dependable No. 1 back. For fantasy purposes, Tate is only worth a look in the middle to late rounds, and certainly as a handcuff for Foster owners.
Wed, 29 May 2013 11:06:36 -0700 Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said RB Arian Foster (calf) will not participate until training camp begins. Foster is currently using crutches but should be fine. Fantasy Tip: The team does not need Foster to take part in offseason workouts, so the injury is not a big deal at this point. He should still be taken in the top few picks in all fantasy drafts this season.
Wed, 29 May 2013 05:12:27 -0700 Updating previous reports, Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (calf) has been diagnosed with a strained calf.
Tue, 28 May 2013 11:45:18 -0700 Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson said he has been around the NFL long enough to know when injuries are serious. He does not think RB Arian Foster's (calf) injury is serious. Fantasy Tip: As we wait for more information on Foster, this could be seen as encouraging. Johnson is right in saying he should know when an injury is serious. Still, wait for something from the team about the severity of the issue before adjusting your draft board.
Tue, 28 May 2013 11:10:59 -0700 Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said he is concerned about the injury suffered by RB Arian Foster (calf) Tuesday, May 28. "It's always concerning," Kubiak said. "We'll see what's wrong, see what happens."
Tue, 28 May 2013 11:05:09 -0700 Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (calf) left the team's practice Tuesdays May, 28 with a calf issue. Fantasy Tip: It is slightly alarming to see Foster leave practice, but it is early enough in the offseason that this should not be a concern at this point. Watch for updates from the team before adjusting draft boards.
Tue, 07 May 2013 11:49:54 -0700 Houston Texans RB Arian Foster said he is thankful the team brought back FB Greg Jones. "He's gonna help us out," Foster said.
Fri, 01 Feb 2013 08:54:58 -0800 Updating a previous report, Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (heart) said he's not aiming to have surgery for a heart ablation to correct an irregular heartbeat that he dealt with in Week 16 this year.
Fri, 01 Feb 2013 06:07:25 -0800 Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (heart) is expected to undergo a minor heart procedure in about a month. He's considering a heart ablation to fix the problem that forced him to leave the game in Week 16 due to an irregular heartbeat.
