RBs Felix Jones and Tashard Choice have combined to average 5.85 yards in 47 carries over that span. However, head coach Wade Phillips has not considered pulling Barber from the starting lineup. "You want to play your best players," Phillips said. "Your team knows that. I don't think you move people in that aren't going to be as good as the guys who are playing."

Phillips said the team likes the arrangement because it gives the offense a power back at the start and the finish. However, Barber's production has been declining. In the last eight games, he is 25th in the NFL with 425 rushing yards and 18th in the league with 3.9 yards per carry.
