Minnesota Vikings DL Sharrif Floyd saw reps with the first-team nickel defense during minicamp practice Wednesday, June 19. He was working next to NT Letroy Guion.
Fantasy Tip: Floyd is viewed as the future for the Vikings, and the heir apparent to Kevin Williams once he moves on. For IDP fantasy purposes, Floyd struggled with the pass rush at the University of Florida, posting just 4 1/2 sacks over his final two seasons. He'll likely be asked to rush the quarterback in his rookie season in the nickel, but it won't equate to much fantasy value. He is, however, worth drafting in all long-term keeper formats.

The Minnesota Vikings coaching staff lined DL Fred Evans up with the starting defense for the first snap of both team periods in last week's open organized team activity (OTAs) practices. "The coaches keep telling me that, hey, we need to give Fred a shot to compete for the No. 1 job," head coach Leslie Frazier said Sunday, June 2. Evans played about 30 percent of snaps last season, and he still has a lot of work to do if he is to unseat DL Letroy Guion for the starting nose tackle job.

Jefferson was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 14, while the other players fully participated in practice.
